Applications are invited for the position of Director General from nationals of FFA member countries and territory. Applicants must receive the endorsement of their Government.

The Director General(DG) serves as the leader of the FFA Secretariat and is the primary public representative, reporting to Forum Fisheries Committee(FFC) and Forum Leaders. The DG works in partnership with the FFC and by direction of Leaders to ensure that the Secretariat fulfills its mission and to create strategies that ensure future success of fisheries management and development for its members.

The appointee will be based in Honiara Solomon Islands but is expected to travel extensively mostly in the region. The successful candidate is expected to take up duties in November 2012.

Expression of Interest - Review of FFA Funding Arrangements

The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency seeks qualified firms or individuals to undertake a review of the current FFA funding arrangements including the review of the basis of the overhead cost recovery mechanism and to provide a report to FFC81 in Tonga, May 2012.

Bids are invited from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to undertake a study on "Strategic Position for MSG in Future Managment and Development Arrangement for South Pacific Albacore Fisheries".

This will mostly be a desk study for a period of two weeks, beginning 14 January 2012.
