Future of Fisheries Roadmap and Report cards: Download here
"We see a region that is at a crossroads and one that needs regionalism more than ever before"-- Sir Mekere Morauta, proposing the Framework for Pacific Regionalism.
Fresh from endorsement by the 46th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders meeting in Port Moresby, PNG, and following the direction of the FFC Ministerial (above image) in Tuvalu in July, the new Regional Roadmap for Sustainable Pacific Fisheries sets the goals, indicators and strategies for offshore (tuna) and coastal fisheries across the Pacific region, with the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency, FFA, taking the lead on the tuna Report Card and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community leading on the Coastal Fisheries sector. Both Report Cards fall under the regional roadmap, featured with the report cards in the attachment links below.
