FFA is inviting applications of interest from qualified candidates for the position Financial Accountant. The Financial Accountant position is a 3 year contract position based in Honiara, Solomon Islands. The position reports to the Director of Corporate Services through the Finance Manager. The successful applicant is responsible for providing relevant and timely financial accounting information to ensure the Agency meets all financial management and audit requirements. 

Your Key Responsiblities

Some of the key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to): 

- Financial reporting;

- Reporting and preparing of annual accounts;

- Responding to External Audit outcomes and processes

- Assisting with Budget formulation and forecasting; and 

- Managing accounts staff.

 

To be successful in this role: 

You will have tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related field and be registered as a CA or CPA. You will have previous experience in a senior level financial and management accounting role, ideally in line with the IPSAS; and proven experience leading a team , including the ability to provide training and development as required.
