Analysis & Development of a Pacific Ocean Bond
The Pacific Ocean Bond project under the Pacific Ocean Finance Program (POFP) explores 1 how carefully designed bond structures can meet the strategic priorities of mitigating risks to ocean health, increasing the resilience of Pacific communities, generating sustainable economic development opportunities across multiple sectors, and attracting longer-term capital to the Pacific region. It also seeks to build support and develop guidance for potential issuers and project developers for issuance of such a bond instrument.
The project’s key goal is to design and recommend three bond structures suitable for the above-mentioned purposes and propose guidance for an action plan for issuance of Pacific Ocean (PO) Bonds.
