WHAT WE DO
National Fisheries Support
Supporting Members with policy to make fisheries decisions
National Fisheries Support: When we support our Members with national-level decision-making, we prepare briefings that contain national and regional science and statistics.
We also help them develop management frameworks (such as national oceanic fisheries management and development plans, national plans of action, policies, and legislative instruments) that streamline regional and international rules so they are easier to implement, and comply with their regional and international obligations.
This policy expertise supports them to manage their fisheries sustainably.
