WHAT WE DO

Sustainable tuna management and policy

Sub-regional Support

Secretariat support for sub-regional arrangements

We provide Secretariat sub-regional support for the following arrangements:

  • South Pacific Group. We lead the secretariat and technical support for this sub-grouping of Southern Pacific nations.
  • Parties to the Nauru Agreement Office (PNAO). We work very closely to make sure that our agreed policies are cohesive and well-articulated and give technical support for PNAO’s activities when needed.
  • Niue Treaty. We administer and provide support for these negotiations and meetings. The treaty is an agreement on cooperation between FFA members about monitoring, control and surveillance of fishing.

Learn more about the FFA team

We are governed by our Members through the Forum Fisheries Committee (FFC). Our executive team guides the work of the Secretariat working with staff to develop high-level policy advice, governance and strategic support for FFC and its Members. Our organisation is structured to deliver tuna fisheries management, development and operations. Learn more →
