WHAT WE DO

Economic and Social Development

Investment Facilitation

Converting opportunities into tangible outcomes

Our investment facilitation unit supports our Members to appraise and facilitate new and beneficial investments in their offshore fisheries resources, including the development of fish processing hubs as proposed under the East New Britain initiative recently endorsed by Fisheries Ministers.

The investments generate economic benefits via:

  • jobs
  • export earnings
  • government revenue
  • other social and economic benefits.

We also provide capacity-building programs for people to give them ownership of driving their own development priorities and future aspirations.

Learn more about the FFA team

We are governed by our members through the Forum Fisheries Committee (FFC). Our executive team guides the work of the Secretariat working with staff to develop high-level policy advice, governance and strategic support for FFC and its Members. Our organisation is structured to deliver tuna fisheries investment facilitation management, development and operations. Learn more →
