Pacific Ocean Finance Conference

The Pacific Ocean Finance Conference theme was “Improving finance for Pacific Ocean Health & Governance”.

The conference was held from the 11-15 November 2019, at the Shangri La Hotel, Yanuca, Coral Coast, Fiji, with participants coming from around the region and the world. They included conservation practitioners, finance experts, country representatives, Pacific Ocean Finance Program-contracted researchers, Pacific Ocean finance Fellows, regional organisations, nongovernment organisations and ocean investors and other interested stakeholders. The goal of the conference was to explore and further define opportunities in ocean finance in the Pacific Islands region.

The conference was part of the Pacific Ocean Finance Program, which is Component 3 of the Pacific Regional Oceanscape Program (PROP), funded by the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility.
